Justine's debut: "I'm proud of you"

Justine, one of our talented students, has successfully launched her first single, "I'm Proud of You." It's a heartfelt tribute to her younger sister, Chloé, who was diagnosed with RETT Syndrome in 2014.
A song from the heart
Justine is currently a student in our Swiss Gymnasium and an active participant in our school's Performing Arts programme, where she learns to play musical instruments, sing, and perform under the guidance of our music teacher, Guido Bissig. She wrote and composed "I'm Proud of You" entirely on her own—a heartfelt expression of love and support for her sister, Chloé, who has been living with RETT Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that primarily affects girls.
Earlier in March, she gave a special performance at the Dolder Hotel to raise awareness of this condition. The event brought together members of the Montana community, RETT Syndrome advocates, and genetic experts to support research efforts and increase awareness.
Justine, a Swiss citizen, has recorded the song in 6 languages: English, German, Swiss German, Italian, Romansh, and French. This allows people from different backgrounds to connect with the song's powerful message.
"I'm proud of you" is more than just a song—it's a call to action. Justine hopes that by sharing her music, she can inspire more people to learn about RETT Syndrome and support efforts to find a cure. Her dedication to this cause is deeply personal; she wants to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
Justine's musical journey
Born in April 8, 2010, Justine's passion for music started at a young age. She was accepted into the Musik Konservatorium Zurich at the age of four. She plays piano, violin, and guitar, and has performed at numerous public events. She also writes, delivers speeches and joins debates at Model United Nations conferences.
- She has been accepted into an adult professional choir in Zurich at age 13.
- She was selected to sing with the main choir at ‘Peace Maker – Karl Jenkins’ concert in Luzern, in 2023.
- She has even landed a main role in a professional theater performance in Zug, Switzerland, taking place in 2026.
Justine dreams of becoming a professional singer and sharing her music with the world. Her story is an inspiration to us all.
When asked what she wants to achieve in her musical career, she answers:
"I want to be a professional singer. I'd like to sing in front of large crowds and share the songs I compose with the world."
She proves that with talent, dedication, and a compassionate heart, young people can make a real difference in the world. Institut Montana is proud to be a part of her journey, being her place to grow.
