Montana is My Place to Grow

Swiss and International Day and Boarding School

We educate children from age 6 to 19. They study the Swiss curriculum to the Swiss Matura or an international programme to the International Baccalaureate or a High School Diploma. We welcome boarders from age 10. We believe in providing the optimum conditions for healthy growth - mental, physical and emotional - so that our students grow into strong, insightful, compassionate adults. Our beautiful campus on the Zugerberg encourages a positive approach to life. The setting is peaceful, the opportunities for exploring the mountains are rich, and yet we are easily accessible and close to the airport and cultural and historical centres such as Zurich and Lucerne.

Whatever their academic path, students are taught in small classes where their individual talents are allowed to shine, and they receive attentive guidance from their teachers and advisors. We believe in education for life and offer a wide range of learning opportunities beyond the curriculum. We are a small school where everyone knows and looks out for each other. Our students build a network of contacts from around the world and friendships that last a lifetime.

Where happy learners are successful learners.

Our goal is to guide our students to be healthy: intellectually, physically and mentally.

Then they will fly high wherever their future ambitions lead.

Inspirational teaching that motivates minds.

A warm and welcoming atmosphere where every child knows they belong.

Small classes with teachers who care.

Rich experiences in and out of the classroom.

Vision 2026

We believe in innovation

Montana has a long history of looking to the future. We recently updated one of our historical buildings, the Chalet Suisse, to serve as a hub for 21st century learning. As well as state-of-the-art technology and media equipment, it has space for yoga and networking. We are developing a focus on digital citizenship so that our students learn not only technical skills but gain an understanding of the ethics and implications of AI and other technological developments as yet unimaginable.

Our school stays small but it is always developing, always learning.
