Co-curricular activities

The learning that leads to diplomas or Maturas is not everything. It is best supplemented by learning activities that are inspiring in their own right.

Students develop motivation to learn for the sake of learning, and that stays with them for life. So, co-curricular activities are more than an add-on or entertainment; they are central to the life of the school. Along the way, our young people often find talents they never imagined they had. They have the opportunities to learn and grow into confident, accomplished adults, adopting a healthy approach to life and developing skills for the future.

The Chalet Suisse

Our centre for co-curricular activities

Our Chalet Suisse represented Switzerland and its fusion of tradition and progress at the Expo of Work in Milan 1906. It has been renovated as a space for 21st century learning. In this hub, we offer cutting-edge facilities such as 3D printers, multi-media studios, a photography lab, an art room, and a tranquil yoga space. It is a home for special projects that go beyond the classroom in the innovative atmosphere of a startup.

Be creative

Unleash your creativity beyond the classroom

Creativity should never be inhibited by rigid academic programmes - we believe that being creative helps our students achieve even better results. Our school offers a wide array of opportunities for students to find their creative talents - even those they didn't know they had!

  • Writing and producing the school magazine
  • Culinary arts
  • Clay ceramics
  • Performing arts (individual singing and musical instrument tuition, drama club, school choir)
  • Photography

Be active

Discover your active passion

Being active is crucial for physical and mental health. We want our students to find what motivates them to stay fit and energised. With various options that change regularly, there’s something for everyone.

  • Team sport (e.g. volleyball, football, unihockey)
  • Tennis and badminton
  • Running
  • Fitness and zumba
  • Archery
  • Mountain biking
  • Beginner swimming

Or simply making the most of our amazing natural surroundings!

Be Inspired

Brain boosters

While our students are challenged intellectually in their academic subjects, we believe learning doesn’t stop there. Engaging in thought-provoking activities outside the classroom helps them push boundaries and explore new ideas.

  • Drama
  • Science and technology
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Chess
  • Student Council
  • Book club
  • Model United Nations

Be compassionate

Help make the world a better place

The benefits of service-learning are extensive. Students learn compassion and kindness, civic responsibility and leadership, communication skills and critical thinking. They also learn that they are privileged and that they can do a lot of good.

  • IBDP CAS (creativity, activity, service) programmes
  • School project weeks
  • Student Council Environment Committee
  • Forest club
  • Upcycling

Please note that co-curricular activities change from year to year and these are examples. Many of them are set in stone in the culture of our school, but some old ones fade and new emerge according to the interests and passions of our students. We carry out regular polls among students about activities they would like to see offered.
