It was a chilly evening in Zürich. The sun was slowly setting, and the temperature dropped low. But the cold couldn't dampen the excitement of our students. They had one thing in mind: To sing their hearts out to the live audience of the Singing Christmas Tree.
Located in Werdmühleplatz just off Bahnhofstrasse, this is one of the unique attractions during the Advent period. Rowed up on a vertical podium in the shape of a gigantic Christmas tree, various choirs from the region spread Christmas cheer with their repertoire of Christmas carols.
Once again, we had the privilege of participating in this wonderful event which took place on Sunday, December 1st. This year, our entire school choir, featuring over 70 talented students, performed under the name Institut Montana Zugerberg.
At 5:30 PM, our students started their performance, filling the air with their festive spirit. They sang classic Christmas favourites such as "Feliz Navidad," "Holly Jolly Christmas," "Jingle Bells," "All I Want for Christmas," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," and "Jingle Bell Rock." They also delivered our very own school anthem, "Montana, My Place to Grow."
The crowd cheered loudly. Everyone was watching and filming the event with joy. The whole experience was truly magical—a fun and joyful occasion for everyone involved.
