Important Information for Summer Sessions 2024

Changes and preconditions to join the summer sessions

06 February 2024

Pre-conditions to join the summer programme dependant on the pandemic developments:

  • Students must be accompanied to Institut Montana by their parents or a legal guardian on a welcome day; students must be picked up at Institut Montana on departure day. If parents cannot accompany the student, a guardian in Switzerland must be appointed in case of emergency.
  • Only children in excellent health will be admitted to the summer programme. Quick tests are not obligatory but may be performed at our welcome desk upon arrival.

In case a student gets a positive test result from a rapid test it only means that he/she is suspected to have been infected with the coronavirus. The student would therefore need to get the test result confirmed with a PCR test in order to be admitted to the summer programme. There are different test centres in the area and we are pleased to support our families in finding the closest one and organizing the appointment. It is the responsibility of the family to organise the stay during the time it may require to receive the results as the student cannot join the summer programme until a PCR negative test result is available.

Cancellations

Our relationships with our families are the foundation of what we do and despite these unprecedented challenging times, we want to continue showing our commitment. Our current cancellation and refund policy applies to all circumstances. In addition, we have a free cancellation policy until 15 May 2024 for situations that may occur due to the Coronavirus. Please ask our team.

Travels

Institut Montana cannot guarantee entry in Switzerland for you and your child. Our team is at your service should you need any clarification or support in understanding the current travel situation to Switzerland.

Safety

Please note that changes to the above conditions and to our safety prevention plan will apply accordingly to the development of the situation in Switzerland and to the Federal Council’s announcements. Our decisions are always made in the best interest of our students and staff health and safety.

For any further information or clarification, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Velia Tricoli
