Admissions Process & Enrolment

The admissions process is guided by our philosophy to assess each student individually. Our admissions team is here to support you throughout the procedure, helping you to choose which of our programmes and schools is the best fit for your child.

Arrange a Personal Visit & Campus Tour

Contact us at any time throughout the school year, including all holidays, to arrange a personal tour of our school. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see our beautiful campus, speak to our teaching and boarding staff, and meet with a member of our admissions team. It also gives us a chance to get to know you as prospective students and parents. If desired, you may meet a student speaking your native language.

Discuss Your Personal & Academic Goals

During your visit, you will have the opportunity to address your personal and academic goals with our admissions staff, as well as discuss possible entry dates, grade levels and programme choices. In order for us to best assist you, please send your child’s most recent transcripts before you come, so we can prepare for your visit.

Experience Montana – “Try-Out Days” (“Schnuppern”)

In order to give you and your child a more in-depth impression of Institut Montana, we offer a try-out period of 1-2 days. Your child will attend the classes he or she would be joining upon admission, get to know future classmates and teachers, and experience daily life at Institut Montana. This short but intensive immersion in our school helps you and your child decide whether our school is the correct fit.

Application Process

Institut Montana seeks to admit students who are willing and able to benefit from the curricula and learning practises of the School. The admissions process shall ensure that students can meet academic and personal requirements. Students shall benefit from their entry into the school's community, which fosters an exchange between Swiss and international cultures.

Parents are kindly asked to provide school reports for the previous two school years. Apart from a personal interview and “taster days” the school will administer admission tests and can ask for references from previous schools.
